Ack! Facebook has me bored, bored, bored lately. If you haven’t seen me active on it, there is a reason. I used to log on daily, as my morning, mid morning, lunch, mid afternoon, afternoon, early evening, evening & late night breaks. My brain got full. It was full of mush. Ever heard the saying “garbage in, garbage out”? That’s how I was feeling. Don’t get me wrong not all of my friends were posting garbage, but 60% of it was crap. So, I deleted the app off my phone. Then I decided I’d only log on when I was in front of the computer. It was amazing the free time I found in my day. At first it felt like I cut off a limb. I’d grab my phone and then realize “oh yeah, no Facebook” and then I’d pick up a small task to occupy my time. Amazingly all the drawers and closets got organized in two weeks time. 🙂
But the downside is I miss sharing event from my family’s life. Ironically enough that is why I started this blog, to share my family. It is my goal to pull myself off Facebook more often and post here. Without further ado here are some milestones/events that we have had going around here lately.
Tyler wakes each night around 4 am and sleeps in the recliner in our room. Each time I wake to his sleeping face my heart melts. He has started his first season of baseball and is doing a phenomenal job. He’s made several runs through home plate and lots of runs batted in (rbi).
We spend a good amount of time with my sister and her son Wesley. Wesley is now 2 and soaking up all the vocabulary the English language has to offer. He is so funny!
Trever has really ramped up skateborading lately. He is conquering the “fakey” & “ollie”, along with a majority of the ramps at the local skateparks. His favorite food is spaghetti and meatballs and he is more than happy to help me make it for him.
Troy is wrapping up our latest renovation project. The exterior work is completed. There are a few details left to complete in the interior.
Spring Break starts tomorrow after school. We are mulling over camping or a day at a theme park. Don’t fret if I don’t post for a week. The kids at home and balancing my work load can make it difficult to stay on top of the blog. But I’ll keep to my resolve to visit Facebook less often and update here more. 🙂
